If you like stories about magic and adventure, you may like this novel. The protagonist of "Magic or Madness," Reason Cansino, has just returned from the Australian outback to live with her grandmother, an extremely dangerous woman. Reason has spent her whole life together with her mother running from her grandmother who has magic powers that could possibly destroy everything that they hold dear. However, her mother's secrets and her grandmother's secrets are about to impact Reason's life in a way that she never thought possible.
I thought this book was a little bit boring. The scenes in New York City took way too long to play out and then the finale was too quick. I had difficulty at the end figuring out what was going on and had to reread the text just to get a grasp of the events. However, if you like books about magic and adventure, this might be the novel for you.
